What is a 'private sitting'?

A private sitting is a form of spirit communication, similar to those you can see demonstrated in spiritualist churches, the difference being that this spirit communication is done one-to-one and in private. These kinds of sittings allow more time and the medium can often go into greater depth and attempt to give more personal information from the spirit world.

Spiritualists know that attempts to communicate with spirit are, by their very nature, experimental and results can never be guaranteed. Most people are happy with their sitting and they receive information that could only have originated from people in the spirit world. However, if the medium is unable to link with your spirit loved ones, or if you are unsatisfied with a private sitting, then you can request a refund of any fee paid.

Spiritualist mediums aim for a private sitting to be both evidential in nature and an enjoyable experience. If, however, you seek a sitting to talk about Spiritualism in general, if you seek a spiritual assessment or other life guidance, then you should discuss this with Robert first.

Will I have my fortune told?
Spiritualist mediums do not "tell fortunes." What they will do is attempt to provide you with evidence of the survival of the human soul after death. Is it frightening?

Does a medium know everything about me?
A medium generally knows absolutely nothing about you before the sitting begins. Some mediums will be able to 'sense things psychically' about you, such as your health, emotional state etc., but during the sitting the medium will only know those facts about your life that the spirit people choose to tell them. However, your spirit friends will respect your privacy and any information of a very private or personal nature will not be revealed, unless it is important to the communication. Should I think about the person/people I want a message from?
